New York Beauty & Flying Geese

Complex piecing made simple! Expand your skill set and learn new tips and techniques for curved and foundation piecing. Karen Ottoboni is a master of foundation paper piecing and you will love her as much as we do!

Color Class with Gayle Scott

The color and value class will teach you how to use a color wheel and why it is important. You will also learn about value and how it affects the way your quilts pop or not; additionally, you will get tips on choosing fabrics for your projects.

Giving Day Sew-in

We have changed Project Linus Day to "Giving Day" so that if you want to make wraps for cancer patients going through Chemo, or quilts/blankets for other local organizations or hats for babies born with heart defects, you can sew your heart out and give to the charitiy or charities that are important to you. Blue Iris contributes the room for you to work on your charity items, usually the last Monday of the month. The important thing about "Giving Day" is that it allows you a place to spread out, a place to gather with friends (old and new) and it allows you to give back to your community and support what is important to each of you, individually. All are welcome to participate!

Two Color Quilt with Margie McGraw

This is a series of 8 monthly Technique of the Month classes using the Glacier Star paper-piecing pattern from Quiltwerx, by Judy Neimeyer. These classes will be headed up by Victoria Johnson, a Certified Quiltwerx Teacher. There is a monthly fee of $50.00 for each technique class and once signed up, you will be commited to the entire series. We are extremely fortunate to have found such a caring and committed teacher to come quite a distance to teach these classes for us. Signups are now being taken.

UFO Club

Long Time Gone BOM

This is a sampler quilt with a modern twist and it is unusual, in the fact that Jen Kingwell normally has some applique in her patterns, but this one is total machine pieced!! Pauline is the teacher and she has a number of peeps that do these classes with her, so unfortunately, this CLASS IS ALREADY FULL!

Tool Tote

Tool Tote is what everyone needs! The bag everyone WANTS! Pockets all the way around on the outside and pockets all the way around on the inside! This class starts with your choice of pattern from Laura Heine Designs. (The only pattern you cannot use is the Lab Dog which involves a different process than all the other patterns available). This class is a monthly Machine Embroidery Project (actually 2 projects per month) ! These cute little pillows are adorable decorations for every month of the year! These projects will involve different techniques on your embroidery machine as well as regular sewing on your machines. Different projects for each month of the year! Monthly Class Fee is 15.00 which includes the fabric kit to make each months project. Requires Quarterly CD Purchase.

We are sew in love with the Sew in Love Batik Block of the month that Pauline will be teaching! The colors are stunning, but who would expect less with Pauline!! This BOM will have a $20. Sign Up fee and $25/month Kit/Class fee. Sew In Love Book purchase is required at time of sign up.

Fresh Cut Wool Block of the Month

For this BOM, "Fresh Cut" uses the book by the same name and Betsy Thaxton will be your coach on this 12 month Journey. Fresh Cut, the book, is by Sue Spargo and while we all refer to it as Wool Embroidery, you will be encouraged to use all sorts of mediums and textures to make this beautiful piece. In addition to the book mentioned above, you will also need "Creative Stitching 2nd Edition" also by Sue Spargo, as you will need to refer to it for the stitches you will be using. Sign ups for this BOM are limited so don't procrastinate in signing up!
