News from Blue Iris

As the weather gets warmer, many of us are out planting our gardens and enjoying the not so hot days that spring brings.  Just as we enjoy the fresh air and the gratification of planting the seeds and then watching them grow into bountiful harvests, so do we enjoy the fruits of our labors with our quilts.  Here at Blue Iris, we are enjoying watching all of the students in our various classes bloom and florish into avid quilters. 

In order to keep all of our quilters in fresh fabric supplys, we are pleased that we have some new fabrics coming into the shop (It actually feels more like Christmas in the shop these days, than spring!).    We recently got some new bolts called "Dim Dots" from Michael Miller in soft hues of Cream, Vanilla,Cloud, Mist, Spa, Mint, Snow, Bloom, Confection and Fog...........doesn't that just conjure up a delightful image in your mind! 

Another line that came in today from Robert Kaufmann is a fun and funky print called Cabana, with a supporting cast of Sunkissed, Leapfrog, Indigo, Current and Ash........I guess you'll just have to come in and see these for yourself!  Audra is putting together a lovely quilt with this line and she will be teaching a class...date to be determined.

In addition to fabric, we have added a couple of new battings to our already sumptious line.  We now have a Tuscany Wool/Cotton Blend and we have Naturefil Bamboo Batting by Fairfield.
